Home documents and inspection reports

Keep the inspection report and other papers with the home, and turn the report into items and reminders.

Home documents on your dashboard holds papers that belong to the whole home rather than one item: the inspection report, disclosures, appraisals, warranties, manuals, and receipts. Select Add, choose a PDF, JPEG, or PNG up to 20 MB, give it a title and a kind, and select Add document.

They're stored privately with the home and open through links that expire after a few minutes. Anyone who can see the whole home can open them; people who can edit it can add and delete them. When you transfer the home, its documents go with it.

Reading an inspection report

Next to an inspection report, select Read this report. Homvio reads it and lists the equipment it describes (with brand, model, install year, and location where the report gives them) and the maintenance it recommends. Everything starts selected: uncheck what you don't want, then add the rest.

Items that match the Item Library come with their usual maintenance schedule as repeating reminders. Nothing is added until you confirm, and a reading can get details wrong, so check them against the report. You can read up to 10 documents an hour.
